Wynn Resorts has announced plans to open its first property in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The group is set to open a 1,000+ room hotel on the man-made Al Marjan Island, 15 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and 45 minutes from Dubai International.

The development is currently scheduled to open in 2026, and will feature more than ten restaurants and lounges, meeting and convention facilities, a spa, “world class shopping”, and a gaming area.

As well as being Wynn’s first hotel in the MENA region, it will also be the group’s first beach resort globally.

Wynn notes that “the new resort is in the initial stages of design and development and will be applying for an integrated resort licence from Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority”.

Al Marjan Island comprises of a group of four coral-shaped islands, which are currently home to four hotels – Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Doubletree by Hilton Resort and Spa Marjan Island, Al Marjan Island Hotel and Spa, and the recently opened Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island.
