Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, a brand belonging to IHG Hotels and Resorts, is set to open its fifth property in the US state of Georgia in 2024.

The three-storey property will be located in the Historic District of Roswell, a close suburb of Atlanta, on Mimosa Boulevard and Magnolia Street. It will be part of the West Alley mixed-use development, and will be operated by HEI Hotels and Resorts with architecture by Randall-Paulson Architects and interiors by Sims Patrick Studio.

The hotel will feature 125 guest rooms, including 20 suites, along with an expansive courtyard, a rooftop restaurant, ground-floor restaurant and bar, 604 sqm of meeting and events space, and a fitness centre.

In keeping with Kimpton’s ethos, there will be a morning coffee and tea service, hosted evening social hour, pet-friendly policies, a programme whereby guests can borrow forgotten items, and bikes to explore the area.

Mike DeFrino, CEO of Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, commented:

“We’ve seen great success with our brand expansion in the South, especially so in Georgia. More and more we’re moving into markets that are city-adjacent, where we know not only people are moving to but also seeking out to visit. We believe Roswell’s residents and visitors alike will really resonate with the Kimpton brand and the unique guest experiences and elevated restaurants and bars we’re known for.”

Last year the Kimpton brand opened a hotel in Atlanta, located in the neighbourhood of Buckhead.

IHG purchased Kimpton in 2014, and has gradually expanded the brand into countries including the Netherlands and the UK. The brand currently has 75 Kimpton hotels open around the world, with another 32 in the pipeline.
