Serviced residence and hotel operator Ascott has opened the second property under its millennial focused Lyf co-living brand in Singapore.
Lyf One-North Singapore is located within the city-state’s research and innovation hub, a two-minute walk from the One-North MRT station and around a 15-minute drive from the central business district.
The 324-unit property is housed over two seven storey towers connected by a bridge, and features an outdoor amphitheatre, a 25-metre lap outdoor lap pool, fitness centre, rooftop social Clubhouse ‘Hangout’, function spaces known as ‘Huddle and Collab’, ‘Connect’ coworking zones, and the ‘Bond’ communal kitchen.

Accommodation ranges from ‘One of a Kind’ studios with ensuite bathrooms for solo travellers or couples, to more spacious ‘Level Up’ lofts.
Lyf One-North Singapore joins Lyf Funan Singapore, which opened in 2019, and the forthcoming Lyf Farrer Park Singapore, which is due to be unveiled next month.
Launched in 2016, the Lyf brand is pronounced “Life” and stands for “Live your freedom”, targeting “next-generation travellers”, with a community-based experience including managers known as “Lyf Guards”.
There are currently 18 Lyf properties operating or set to open this year, across 14 cities including Bangkok, Fukuoka, Hangzhou, Xi’an and Shanghai.
Ascott recently announced plans to debut the Lyf brand in Europe, with the 135-unit Lyf Gambetta Paris set to be housed within a former printing house in the city’s 20th arrondissement.
Commenting on the opening Mr Norman Cross, Head of Lyf brand and general manager of Lyf operations in Singapore, said:
“At Lyf One-North Singapore, our guests can discover new possibilities, spark creative ideas and build meaningful connections. We invite guests to discover the property’s well-designed private and social spaces, and carefully curated programmes centred on innovation and sustainability.
“Combining the best of serviced residences, hotels and coliving apartments, Lyf One-North Singapore will meet the demand of next-generation travellers seeking a unique stay.”
“With the gradual recovery of travel, higher vaccination rates and the introduction of more vaccinated travel lanes, a huge uptick in business travel is expected this year.
“Lyf Funan Singapore, the largest coliving property in Asia, also achieved average occupancy rate of over 85 per cent, outperforming its peers. We are confident that Lyf One-North Singapore will perform well and provide a memorable and safe home away from home for our guests.”
