British Airways has launched a new sale covering short-haul routes to Europe.

The flash sale runs until 2359 GMT on Monday January 17, and covers a total of 750,000 seats for travel on selected dates until December 2022.

It includes routes from both Heathrow and Gatwick, with BA set to resume short-haul flying from the south London airport in late March.

Promotional fares are all under £39 each way, and start from as  low as £28 each way, with highlighted examples (all based on return travel) including:

  • Heathrow to Barcelona, from £30 each way
  • Heathrow to Jersey, from £34 each way
  • Gatwick to Malta, from £34 each way
  • Gatwick to Milan, from £29 each way
  • Gatwick to Nice, from £28 each way
  • Heathrow to Palma de Mallorca, from £28 each way
  • Heathrow to Prague, from £33 each way
  • Gatwick to Venice, from £30 each way

Meanwhile the carrier’s January sale continues until the 25th of this month, with discounted flights and holidays available to over 100 destinations, including return fares to Dubai from £299, New York from £326, San Francisco from £345, Bermuda from £498 and the Bahamas from £559.

Commenting on the news Colm Lacy, British Airways’ chief commercial officer, said:
