Qatar Airways has again extended the status benefits within its Privilege Club loyalty programme.

All Silver, Gold and Platinum members whose tier status is due for renewal between now and December 2022 will see their status extended until December 31, 2022.

This follows a similar extension of status benefits granted at the start of 2021.

As part of the move the validity of all unused lounge passes will be extended until December 31, 2022, but existing Qmiles, Qpoints and Qcredits will retain their original validity dates.

Commenting on the news Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said:

“At Privilege Club, we remain steadfastly committed to our members. Their loyalty means everything to us, and we will continue to honour their choice to fly with us.

“As the Official Airline of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Qatar Airways will continue to innovate in rewarding and recognising our members. We sincerely look forward to enriching our members’ travel experiences, and offering them more time to enjoy the incredible benefits of their tier as they plan for their travel with us in 2022, to over 140 global destinations”.

This week fellow Oneworld member carrier British Airways also announced a further extension of elite status benefits for some Executive Club members, as well as an extended period to take advantage of reduced tier point thresholds.

Members with tier point collection end dates between April 1 and June 30, 2022 will see their status extended by a further 12 months.
