Electric mobility specialist FENIX has launched an on-demand shared electric bike service in the UAE and Qatar.

The service has initially launched in the Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra communities in partnership with the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA).

In Qatar, FENIX has entered into an exclusive micro-mobility partnership with the ASPIRE Zone in Doha to provide visitors with a safe, convenient and efficient means of transport across the sports complex via its FENIX e-bikes.

The e-bikes join a growing portfolio of mobility offerings provided by FENIX, including shared e-scooters and the region’s first private e-scooter subscription service MyFENIX.

FENIX operates the largest electric vehicle fleet in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) with more than 10,000 vehicles.

Each purpose-built FENIX e-bike is equipped with an advanced pedal-assist motor system, a functional basket and illuminous front and rear lights.

The bikes have a range of 75 km on a single battery charge and are equipped with fast wireless charging smartphone holders for easy access to directions while riding, and built-in NFC readers for potential tap-to-pay integrations in the future.

FENIX e-bikes and e-scooters cost AED 1/QAR 1 per minute to ride and are the first in the region with a No Unlock Fee. Residents and visitors can enjoy their first ride free up to AED 15/ QAR 15 using a new user promo code, while repeat commuters can receive value savings on rides by purchasing weekly and monthly packages.

Anyone who takes a ride also benefits from the ‘Rise with FENIX’ rewards programme, offering free credits and discounts on a monthly basis, where the more you ride the more you save.

Riders can easily locate FENIX e-bikes and e-scooters by downloading the FENIX mobile application from iOS and Google Play stores and make use of the electric vehicles 24 hours a day.
