Melia hotels has launched The Meliá Collection, “a portfolio of carefully selected hotels embodying an independent spirit and unmistakable sense of place.”
Melia Hotels International already has a number of brands, including Melia Hotels and Resorts, Innside by Melia, Me by Melia, Gran Melia Hotels and Resorts, as well as ‘hosting’ the Wyndham brand Tryp by Wyndham in Europe. Founded in 1956 in Mallorca (Spain), Meliá operates more than 380 hotels (portfolio and pipeline) in more than 40 countries.
The current list in the new Melia Collection portfolio is:
- Hotel London Kensington, London
- Hotel Maison Colbert, Paris
- Hotel Villa Marquis, Paris
- Hotel Hacienda del Conde, Tenerife
- Hotel Serengeti Lodge, Serengeti National Park
- Hotel Desert Palm, Dubai
The group says that the new collection is “an additional step in Meliá’s differentiation strategy and its commitment to superior-quality tourism, enhancing discovery, and authentic destinations.”
Each hotel will have “distinct characteristics and style and are deeply rooted in their surroundings.” This connection with the destination will be seen in the design, architecture, style and decoration of the hotels, in their dining options, as well as in their exclusive selection of amenities.
