Thai Airways introduces roundtrip Phuket-Sydney flights

Thai Airways is launching roundtrip Phuket-Sydney-Phuket flights in response to the growing demand for travel and the reopening of borders.

From today the airline will operate the flights three times per week using a B777-300ER. Flight TG477 will depart Phuket at 1850 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Sydney the following day at 0730.

Sydney-Phuket (TG478) will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, departing Sydney at 0930 and arriving in Phuket at 1440.

This will continue until March 25, 2022, and has been launched in response to “increasing travel demand” thanks to the reopening of the country’s borders to foreign travellers last month.

Thailand to lift quarantine for UK arrivals from November

The country also operates a Phuket Sandbox programme, which allows fully vaccinated travellers to visit the area without quarantine requirements.

Thai Airways also provides roundtrip Bangkok-Sydney four times per week, which depart Bangkok on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and depart Sydney on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
