Accor has unveiled plans to expand in Egypt after signing a deal to manage the Mövenpick Living and Residences in Cairo.

Once open in 2026, the property, located in the New Capital City (NCC), will feature 150 serviced apartments and 40 branded residences.

The NCC is located 45 kilometres east of Cairo, in an area approximately half the size of the seaport of Suez. A new intercity metro link will be built to connect NCC to Cairo via New Cairo.

In addition, an international airport will be constructed and located in NCC, which features hospitality, residential, entertainment, commercial, retail components and government entities, including the presidential palace, parliament, cabinet, Supreme Court, all ministries of Egypt and various foreign embassies.

Mövenpick Living and Residences in Cairo will offer four dining venues, including a Mövenpick Lounge, a speciality restaurant and a pool bar, as well as a fitness centre, a spa and a Little Bird’s Club for kids.
