Hilton has announced plans to add its latest Spanish property, with an agreement with Galatzo Inversiones to manage an existing hotel close to Mallorca’s popular Paguera beaches.

The 208-room Galatzo Hotel Mallorca will rebrand as the Hilton Mallorca Galatzo in summer 2022 following refurbishment works.

The property features 54,000 sqm of gardens, three swimming pools, a lobby with bar leading onto an outdoor terrace, two restaurants, 1,000 sqm of meeting and events space, tennis courts, and a 1,500 sqm spa and wellness centre.

The hotel is located a five-minute drive from the beaches of Paguera, and around 35 km from Palma de Mallorca airport.

Hilton currently has 23 hotels either trading or under development across Spain and its islands, across nine of its brands.

The group has opened three properties in the country this year, including the Hampton by Hilton Barcelona Fira Gran Via, and the first Spanish property under its lifestyle Canopy brand, located in Madrid.

Carlos Martins, CEO of Galatzo Inversiones, said that the group “looks forward to welcoming guests to the new Hilton Mallorca Galatzo next year, following substantial refurbishments to elevate the property’s interiors and facilities”, while Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton commented:

“Following recent announcements in Crete, Rijeka, Santorini and Sardinia, Hilton Mallorca Galatzo is the latest in a string of spectacular resort hotels planned in the Mediterranean.

“As one of the most popular holiday destinations for European travellers, Mallorca is an ideal location for an international brand like Hilton Hotels and Resorts and we are pleased to partner with Galatzo Inversiones to open this hotel next year.”
