Marriott has brought its Courtyard by Marriott brand to the tropical island of Phuket in Thailand.

The 248-room Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town is located in the old town, a 40 minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Local attractions include the Sunday Walking Street Market and Chillva Market, museums and temples, and Patong Beach and Kata Beach less than 30 minutes away.

The contemporary design includes nods to traditional Thai arts and crafts, and room amenities include a flat-screen TV, comfortable work desk and high-speed wifi.

All-day dining restaurant Krua Talad Yai offers southern Thai cuisine and international dishes, while Talung Lounge provides coffee and cakes, and the Kolae Pool Bar serves cocktails and light bites.

Leisure facilities include a kid’s club, a fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers a 660 sqm ballroom and several flexible function spaces for meetings and events.

Jakob Helgen, Area Vice President of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar, Marriott International, said:

“The opening of Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town marks Marriott International’s 46th property in Thailand and further compliments our commitment to growth in the region, bringing a diversified portfolio for different types of travelers to this popular leisure destination.”

The hotel is certified under the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration Plus programme, which ensures that at least 70 per cent of its staff members have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
