Hilton has signed its first hotel under its Hilton Garden Inn brand in Sydney, marking the sixth under the brand in the pipeline for Australasia.

The hotel group has signed an agreement with Boston Global to manage the new-build 140-room property Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood in Western Sydney.

The hotel is set to open in early 2023 and will be located 64 km from Sydney International Airport and 16 km from the new Western Sydney International Airport at Badgerys Creek, which is expected to see its first arrivals in 2026. The hotel is also in the middle of Nepean Health Hub, one of Sydney’s largest health precincts which is undergoing a $1 billion redevelopment.

The property will include a full-service restaurant and bar, meeting facilities, a fitness room, rooftop bar, and a 24-hour grab-and-go retail store.

Guy Phillips, senior vice president, development, Asia and Australasia, Hilton, commented:

“As we prepare to launch our award-winning Hilton Garden Inn brand in Australia with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Albany in Western Australia in late 2021, we are pleased to be expanding the brand’s presence into Sydney as we look to achieve our ambition to double our footprint in Australasia in the next five years.”

This marks Hilton’s third brand in Sydney, joining Hilton Hotels and Resorts and Curio Collection by Hilton. There are currently 27 operating and 12 pipeline Hilton properties throughout Australasia.
