The region’s leading MICE industry players will gather this week at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Events Week (ADBEW) 2021, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from October 25 to 27, 2021.

Organised by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the event aims to strengthen capabilities within the MICE sector and galvanise businesses in this new era for the industry.

ADBEW 2021 was developed in partnership with major global MICE associations, including ICCA, PCMA, UFI, IAEE, SITE and MPI. Through the event, which will include numerous social and networking opportunities, DCT Abu Dhabi will create a platform for collective vision and strategy-building within the sector. This is part of DCT Abu Dhabi’s overarching strategy to enhance the emirate’s position as a global destination for business events and an industry knowledge hub, bringing to the region insights, experience and education from a broad set of global industry experts.

The ADBEW agenda includes plenary sessions, advisory summits, educational workshops, and social networking events with key topics covered including current challenges in the industry and ways of accelerating its growth.

DCT Abu Dhabi will also use the event as an opportunity to identify and develop strategic plans to futureproof and reshape the MICE industry in the UAE capital and boost its contribution to Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030.

The event is targeting all industry stakeholders, including local and regional professional conference and exhibition organisers, destination management companies, travel trade partners, venue owners/operators, and hotels and event management agencies and suppliers, to provide them with a platform to exchange knowledge, innovate and collaborate to pave the way for the sector’s bright future.

With plans to hold the event annually, DCT Abu Dhabi aims to make ADBEW an unmissable fixture in the international MICE calendar.
