Accor has opened its latest dual-branded or “combo” project, located in Switzerland’s largest city of Zurich.

The development features the 64-unit Aparthotel Adagio Zurich City Centre, and the 202-room Ibis Styles Zurich City Centre.

Accor said the Adagio apartments had been designed in “Hygge Style”, with other features of the property including a fitness centre and sauna, and a sixth-floor restaurant and bar with views of the city.

Meanwhile the Ibis Styles hotel features an “optical illusion” theme… “characterised by geometric style elements and various optical illusions designed by the artist M. C. Escher”, and also offers Yuka restaurant, Blue Bar, and three meeting spaces ranging from 24 to 42 sqm.

The property is situated on Stampfenbachstrasse, close to the city’s Limmat River and around ten minutes from the Swiss National Museum and Zurich Hauptbahnhof rail station.

Last week Accor unveiled its revamped Heathrow T5 property, which has been split into a dual-branded Ibis and Ibis Budget development.

The group is also developing a dual-branded Novotel and Ibis property within the Newcastle Gateshead Quays complex, and earlier this year announced plans to debut its Fairmont and Raffles brands in Qatar, within a dual-branded development in the forthcoming Lusail City.
