Royal Jordanian (RJ) has placed Petra-inspired livery on one of its wide-bodied B787 aircraft to help promote tourism to Jordan.

“RJ feels it is its duty, as a national carrier, to act as a bridge that connects Jordan to the world, and thus it has become the roving ambassador of Jordan,” said RJ Vice Chairman and CEO, Samer Majali, unveiling the new livery.

The project has been implemented in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board to highlight the red-rose city of Petra as a unique landmark and attractive destination for tourists of all nationalities and cultures.

Majali has also urged the kingdom’s public and private sectors to do more to help promote tourism, mitigating the losses it sustained as a result of the pandemic.

RJ has also improved its economy class menu, adding more international, Oriental, Mexican and Italian options. The meals change every two weeks and according to the destination.

Majali said the enhanced menu, developed with partner dnata, was a response to passengers’ demands and recommendations.
