IHG Hotels and Resorts is set to open a Holiday Inn in West Perth in November.

The Sage Hotel West Perth on Hay Street will rebrand as the Holiday Inn West Perth on November 1. The site is located within walking distance of Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens, and will be IHG’s first Perth property outside the city centre.

The hotel’s 101 rooms and lobby will be refurbished for the opening, and the property will also feature a restaurant and two boardrooms.

IHG already counts three hotels in Perth across its Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands.

Jael Fischer, Director, Development for IHG Australasia and Pacific, said:

“We are thrilled to be growing our presence in Perth and to be working with new owners, Australian Development Capital – the hotel will be a welcome addition to our expanding Holiday Inn portfolio. With construction beginning on the new parliamentary precinct in West Perth and with many businesses and retail along busy Hay and Collins Street, there is a hive of activity in the area which Holiday Inn will be able to capitalise on.

“Given the hotel’s prime location, close to Kings Park, one of the world’s largest and most beautiful inner-city parks, Holiday Inn West Perth will be warmly embraced by IHG Rewards loyalty members. We look forward to welcoming guests from 1 November.”

In August, IHG opened the first Holiday Inn property in Australasia to feature the brand’s next-generation design including an open lobby concept combining the hotel’s reception area, business centre, restaurant, bar and lounge.

The hotel will join the 42 open or pipeline Holiday Inn brand hotels in Australasia and the Pacific.
