Hilton has added its latest Curio Collection property in Mexico, situated in the Yucatan state capital Merida.

Villa Mercedes Merida is located at Avenida Colon #500, close to the city’s famous Paseo de Montejo and the Casa Montes Molina Museum.

The existing 127-room hotel is housed within a restored colonial mansion, and has undergone “extensive renovations to the lobby and front desk, onsite restaurant and outdoor pool”, with features including seven meetings rooms, and business and fitness centres.

Hilton’s Curio Collection launched in 2014, and recently passed the milestone of 100 properties worldwide.

The brand is present in Mexican cities including Guadalajara, Playa del Carmen and Mexico City, and is set to add a 250-room hotel within walking distance of the Tulum ruins and the beaches of Paraiso and Santa Fe in 2023.

In the UK Hilton is set to add its sixth Curio Collection property in London next month, and has recently opened the brand’s first hotel in Cambridge.
