IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened its third Staybridge Suites property in the UAE, located opposite the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Centre is located in a 48-storey building on Sheikh Zayed Road, a few steps from the metro station. It is close to a landmarks including The Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountains and the Burj Khalifa.

This news comes as Dubai prepares to host millions of people for the Dubai Expo 2020, which begins on October 1.

The property features 360 studios, one-, two- and three-bed suites which each include a fully fitted kitchen and living space, Siemens and Smeg appliances, Smart TVs and a washer/dryer. Many of the apartments also have a balcony offering views of the city or the sea.

For those needing to work, the suites feature a large working table and high-speed wifi, while public areas including the cafés and “cosy den” are also available. The property also has modern meeting rooms for private sessions.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast with takeaway options, a coffee/tea station and a 24-hour pantry, and a 24/7 shop. The property also hosts a social gathering three times a week with complimentary food and drink.

Leisure facilities include a 25-metre pool, a gym, and a spa.

Fahad AlRafi, CEO of SRG Holding Limited (the owning and operating company of this new opening and the Dubai Internet City property) commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to partner with one of the world’s leading hotel companies, IHG Hotels and Resorts, to open our second Staybridge Suites in Dubai.

“The aim with the launch of the new Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Center is to provide guests with a hotel where they could stay for a few days, weeks or months in one of Dubai’s most vibrant areas.

“As an established family-owned developer, owner and property manager in Dubai, we have seen a shift in demand in recent years from the traditional hotel and accommodation options, not only from visitors and new-comers to the city, but also from many existing residents who are now looking for more flexible, hassle-free accommodation options where they can also feel part of a community. Therefore, we believe that the economic, social, and demographic trends are all in favor of the Staybridge Suites concept, which we look forward to showcasing in Dubai, with two unique and primely-located Staybridge Suites properties.”

The brand already has a property near Al Maktoum airport (also known as Dubai World Central) and on Sheikh Zayed Road in the heart of the city’s technology, media, and creative free zone.

The Staybridge brand has over 312 properties worldwide. Last year, we reviewed two of its UK properties: Staybridge Suites Manchester – Oxford Road, and Staybridge Suites London Heathrow – Bath Road.
