Virgin Atlantic has launched a limited-time promotion for its Rewards and Rewards + Mastercard credit cards.

Customers applying by October 15, 2021, will receive 2,000 bonus Virgin points with the fee-free Rewards card, providing they spend at least £500 on the card within the first 90 days.

With the Rewards + card (which has an annual fee of £160) the bonus rises to 15,000 points, providing cardholders spend at least £3,000 within the first 90 days.

The Rewards + card comes with a standard bonus of 15,000 points so long as the cardholder makes a purchase with the first 90 days, so new customers can currently get up to 30,000 points with this card.

Note that when the cards were originally launched in 2018, the fee-free Rewards card came with a bonus of 5,000 points so long as the cardholder made a purchase with the first 90 days. This bonus is no longer offered, so the maximum “welcome” bonus cardholders can get with the Rewards card is 2,000 points under this promotion.

Virgin said that customers must link their Flying Club number to their credit card by January 6, 2022 to be eligible for the above offer.

Full details of the offer, as well as benefits and APR rates for both cards, can be seen here.

Virgin Flying Club miles were rebranded as Virgin Points last year, as part of the relaunch of Virgin red and a move towards a unified rewards currency for all Virgin companies. For more details on this see:
