Hilton has opened its first Tapestry Collection property in France, with a hotel located in Paris.

Hotel Camille Paris Gare de Lyon, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is located in the 12th arrondissement, a five minute walk from the Gare de Lyon station and 15-minute walk from the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre. It is also just a kilometre from the Place de la Bastille.

The 56-room hotel features “timeless, elegant décor” in its public areas and freshly renovated bedrooms and suites, a glass-roofed atrium and a lobby lounge which serves a buffet breakfast and locally sourced dishes.

The Tapestry Collection brand debuted in Europe in June with the opening of Atocha Hotel Madrid, and is set to expand in Europe in the coming months, with the forthcoming Le Belgrand Hotel Paris Champs Elysées in Paris, Se Catedral Hotel Porto in Portugal and the Samuel Ryder Hotel in St Albans in the UK.

The group as a whole has been expanding in France, with plans for six new hotels across the country before the end of the year. The new-build Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton Tours Centres will be Hilton’s first hotels in the Loire Valley region, while Hilton Garden Inn Le Havre will join the portfolio later in the year.

This comes after the May opening of the Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadéro, a review of which will feature in the forthcoming November issue of Business Traveller.
