Lufthansa Group carrier Eurowings has updated its app, allowing customers to submit relevant certificates for travel.

The “My Health Docs” solution will now allow passengers to upload documents such as negative Covid-19 tests, vaccination certificates or country-specific registration forms to the Eurowings app. These can also be stored in photo format.

The feature has already been successfully trialled by over 1,500 passengers, and is now available on all flights from Spain to Germany. The low-cost carrier plans to roll out the service to further flight connections “shortly”.

This means that additional checks of the documents are no longer necessary, saving time and reducing unnecessary physical contact amid the pandemic.

The “My Health Docs” was incorporated into the airline’s app in April and was previously used to provide information on entry requirements based on a detailed questionnaire filled out by the passenger.

Low-cost carrier Jet 2 also recently launched a new app feature allowing customers to upload and store important travel documents in one location.
