Saudi Arabia will now accept travellers who have have received two doses of the Sinopharm and Sinovac jabs, but only if they have also had an additional booster shot of the country’s approved vaccines — Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.

The kingdom is also accepting travellers who can provide evidence of a full course of one the four vaccines currently recognised: two doses of the Oxford/Astra Zeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or a single dose of the vaccine produced by Johnson and Johnson.

All travellers entering on a previously issued tourism visa will be required to pay an additional fee of SAR 40 when they arrive in Saudi Arabia to cover insurance for any COVID-19 related medical expenses.

Travellers are advised to check the current entry requirements with their chosen airline before they purchase a ticket.

Saudi Arabia has opened a web portal at https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home for visitors to register their vaccination status. The site is available in Arabic and English.
