Qatar Airways has added new flights to Zambia and Zimbabwe, taking its African network to 27 cities.

The thrice weekly linked service is operating three-times-weekly using a two-class A350-900 aircraft configured with 36 Q Suite business class seats and 247 economy seats.

Flights will operate Doha-Lusaka-Harare-Lusaka-Doha on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday as follows:

  • Doha to Lusaka QR1455 departs 0220, arrives 0850
  • Lusaka to Harare QR1455 departs 1020, arrives 1120
  • Harare to Lusaka QR1456 departs 1855, arrives 1955
  • Lusaka to Doha QR1456 departs 2125, arrives 0555 the following day

Harare and Lusaka are the fifth and sixth destinations to join Qatar Airways’ African network since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the others being Accra, Abidjan, Abuja and Luanda.

The carrier also recently announced a strategic partnership with Rwandair, including interline agreements and reciprocal loyalty scheme benefits.
