Emirates is offering members of its Skywards loyalty programme the chance to earn bonus miles when staying in Dubai over the coming months.

The promotion sees customers earn a mile for every minute they stay in the city between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022, up to a maximum of 5,000 bonus miles.

The offer has been launched to celebrate Dubai’s hosting of Expo 2020, which was delayed from last year due to Covid-19, and is now scheduled to run for six months from October this year.

To be eligible for the bonus miles, customers must pre-register for the offer, and book to travel on an Emirates or Flydubai flight originating outside the UAE – codeshare and interline services are excluded.

Bonus miles can be earned only once per member during the promotional period, and will be credited within 14 days following the completion of members’ first stay in Dubai between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022.

Last week Emirates announced plans to resume flights to Glasgow, as part of a review of its UK services following the UK government’s decision to move the UAE from red to amber on the traffic light travel system.

Emirates to resume flights to Glasgow

The change (which came into effect on Sunday August 8), removes the red-list requirement to quarantine in a government-approved hotel on arrival, and means that fully vaccinated travellers from the UK, EU and US will not have to self-isolate for ten days on arrival.
