Himachal Pradesh has made it mandatory for tourists entering the state to carry Covid-19 vaccination certificate (single or both doses) or a negative RT-PCR test report issued not earlier than 72 hours. These restrictions will remain in force until further orders.

In June this year, the state had eased Covid-19 restrictions, as a part of which RT-PCR test was no longer required to enter Himachal Pradesh.

However, blatant violation of Covid norms have been observed in several parts of the state, especially in public transport and public places, stated an official notification by the government. Massive crowds have been seen thronging the marketplaces, violating norms of social distancing.

The latest notification further states that if the Covid norms are not followed at any establishment/premises/markets, such place shall be liable for action under the relevant laws.

The state executive committee has issued guidelines and asked the concerned authorities to ensure people follow Covid appropriate behaviour at markets, malls, restaurants, bus stands, railway stations, parks, gymnasiums, banquet halls and sports complexes among others.

The no mask-no service policy will be strictly followed. People will be allowed to board public, private transport and enter any government or private establishment only with masks.
