India’s first Raffles hotel, Raffles Udaipur is slated to open on August 2, 2021. Spread across 21 acres on a private island, it lies amidst the stunning Udai Sagar Lake.
Property is reminiscent of a magnificent country estate, with beautifully manicured, ornamental gardens and panoramic views of the surrounding hills, serene lake and a 400-year-old temple. Arrival is via a scenic 20-minute drive from the airport, followed by a boat ride.
The hotel features 101 luxurious rooms, suites and signature suites that are an ideal blend of modern and local elements. Guestrooms open to sweeping views of the lake. Adding to it are the private gardens, balconies, plunge pools and an east-west design aesthetic with murals, handcrafted furniture and other crafts by local artisans.
Head to Sawai Kitchen, the Indian speciality restaurant to savour lost recipes from the region’s royal households, with a modern twist. Harvest, set to open in October, offers an interactive farm-to-table dining experience. Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy a co-cooking experience at Rasoi, the cookery school. The Raffles Patisserie will serve freshly baked breads, classic French desserts and signature Raffles pastries.
Unwind with bespoke artisanal and classic cocktails and a champagne and caviar menu at The Writers Bar or socialise at the iconic Long Bar, a hallmark of the Raffles brand. It offers fine Indian spirits, single malts, local brews from across Rajasthan and the signature Udaipur Sling – the Singapore classic remade with fresh produce from the island and home-made syrups.
Indulge is wellness treatments at The Raffles Spa. Other recreational amenities include a well-equipped fitness centre and swimming pool.
The Grand Ballroom including pre-function area, multiple outdoor gathering areas and an on-site temple, is perfect for wedding celebrations.
