IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened its second property in the Ecuadorian capital Quito.
Holiday Inn Quito Airport is situated a ten-minute drive from Quito Mariscal Sucre International airport, and around 30 minutes from the north of the city, where the city’s main corporate offices are located.
The hotel features 125 rooms, an executive lounge (opening August 15) with views of the Andes, a heated outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, business centre, meeting and events space for up to 180 guests, all day dining Capital Restaurant and La Barra lobby bar.
Spa facilities including a Turkish bath and massage rooms are set to open in December, and the hotel also offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport.
Holiday Inn Quito Airport joins the existing Holiday Inn Express Quito, located on Orellana Avenue, in the city’s financial and commercial district.
There are no direct flights from the Uk to Quito – Air Europa and Iberia both serve the city from Madrid, while KLM flies to the Ecuadorian capital from Amsterdam.
