Collinson-owned Airport Dimensions has launched new Brazilian airport lounge concept Ambaar Club, with plans to roll out the brand across four Brazilian airports in the coming months.

The firm has partnered with VIP lounge provider Ambaar Lounge, which already operates facilities at Belo Horizonte International and Guarulhos International airports.

The locations of the new lounges have yet to be announced, but when open they will be available to Priority Pass members – a company also owned by Collinson.

Airport Dimensions said that the launch of the new brand will mark its debut in the South American market, “and accentuates its aggressive global growth plans”. The group recently opened lounges under its Sleep ‘n Fly brand at Dubai International and Doha’s Hamad International airports.

Earlier this year Airport Dimensions also announced a partnership with JP Morgan Chase to develop a new airport lounge brand “tailored to the needs of the discerning traveller”.

And along with Swissport the firm recently acquired the UK-focused No1 Lounges brand.

Commenting on the news Nancy Knipp, president Americas of Airport Dimensions, said:

“Combining Airport Dimensions’ unparalleled digital and physical airport assets and experiences with Ambaar Lounge’s deep understanding of the regional market, the new Ambaar Club brand will provide a wealth of experiences perfectly tailored to the varied needs of passengers in Brazil and will help drive revenues in the airports. We will be announcing details of the Ambaar Club initial locations soon.”
