Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has announced that it will more than treble the number of testing sites at its airports ahead of the restart of international travel.
The group currently has one testing site at each airport, but is set to increase this to 11 across Manchester, East Midlands and London Stansted, with Randox joining its existing partner Collinson to operate the sites.
The majority of the centres are expected to be open by early July, with other facilities opening “in line with increase in passenger numbers”.
The centres will comprise a combination of walk-in and drive-through facilities and offer a range of tests for arrival and departure. These will include packages for ‘amber’ and ‘green’ list countries, Collinson’s same day rapid LAMP Test to Release offering, and Randox’s rapid 1-3 hour PCR test.
PCR tests start from £60, and tests can be booked online.
