Delta has partnered with digital health technology provider Azova to offers customers entering the US an in-home rapid antigen Covid-19 test option.

The Ellume Covid-19 Home Test is CDC-accepted and can be ordered from delta.com at a cost of $50.

Delta said that the tests can be shipped to a home address or picked up locally, with results “syncing directly to a compatible smartphone”.

The airline stresses that customers should consult the Delta Discover map to ensure that the correct testing requirements are met for their trip.

Earlier this month Delta launched a new Fly Ready tool with partner Virgin Atlantic, allowing customers travelling in either direction between the US and UK to securely upload negative Covid-19 test certificates for upcoming flights.

Commenting on the news Henry Ting – Delta’s recently appointed SVP and chief health officer, said:

“Even as the US achieves widespread immunity through vaccinations, many international countries lag behind the US in vaccination rates.

“Testing and proof of a negative test result within 72 hours of travel remain core components for entry to many international destinations as well as to return to the US during the global pandemic.

“These new purchase and pack Covid-19 tests offer a convenient option to provide proof of a negative test result and enable a seamless experience for our customers.”
