IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened two new properties in the southern French city of Nice.
The dual-branded Crowne Plaza Nice – Grand Arenas and Holiday Inn Express Nice – Grand Arenas are located in the city’s Éco-Vallée business district, a five-minute tram ride from Nice Côte d’Azur airport, and around ten minutes from Nice city centre.
The Crowne Plaza hotel offers 129 rooms, a top floor Club Lounge and fitness centre with Swedish hot stone sauna, and Balm Restaurant and Bar. There is also 450 sqm of meeting space across eight rooms, accommodating up to 150 people.
The adjacent Holiday Inn Express property has 131 rooms with Smart TVs and free wifi, as well as a lobby area with tables featuring integrated power outlets, and Express Café and Bar, where the brand’s Express Start breakfast is included in the room rate.
Rates start from €155 at the Crowne Plaza and €65 at the Holiday Inn Express.
IHG currently has over 60 properties open across France, with a further 20 in the development pipeline.
The group recently added its first Voco property in Paris – a renovation and rebranding of the former Holiday Inn Gare Montparnasse.
Commenting on the dual openings Eric Talou, general manager of Crowne Plaza Nice – Grand Arenas and Holiday Inn Express Nice- Grand Arenas, said:
“We have so been looking forward to finally opening the doors to these two hotels as they are a great addition to IHG’s portfolio in France.
“Nice’s Éco-Vallée business district has so much to offer current and future companies wishing to set up in Nice and we are looking forward to being able to host those coming for a business trip or a holiday on the coast.
“We are confident that guests will be able to find the accommodation that best suits them, whether that be at the Crowne Plaza or the Holiday Inn Express.”
