Further expanding its portfolio in Saudi Arabia, IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a master development agreement with RIVA Development Company via its wholly-owned subsidiary RIVA Hospitality for Hotel Services Company to open Hotel Indigo Riyadh King Abdallah Road.

The 228 key-hotel is scheduled to open in March 2025 with two dining options, a pool, a fitness centre and 353 sqm of events spaces.

Commenting on the announcement, Haitham Mattar, managing director, India, middle east and Africa, IHG said:

IHG currently operates 38 hotels across five brands in Saudi Arabia, including Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza,  Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and voco with a further 20 hotels in the development pipeline due to open within the next three to five years.
