Dubai has unveiled its newest metro station at the Expo 2020 site.
Expo 2020 Dubai metro station is a part of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai’s Route 2020.
As per the Expo authorities, the station will initially be used by Expo pass holders. It will open to the general public only when the Expo’s gates open on October 1, 2021.
The RTA tweeted, “The Dubai Metro service at Expo 2020 Station will be available for people who are eligible to enter the international event site only, until its official opening to the public later on October 1, 2021.”
This swanky new station will provide easy access to the Expo 2020 Dubai site.
The RTA announced that starting June 1, the Red Line will provide an uninterrupted route from Al Rashidiya Station all the way to the Expo 2020 Station without switching trains at an interchange station.
“If you are heading towards UAE Exchange Station, you will now have to switch trains at Jabal Ali interchange station,” tweeted RTA.
