Today we can confirm that LNER has restored most schedules.
In a statement LNER said, “Hitachi, train operators and the government, with oversight from the rail regulator, have agreed to implement a service recovery plan for the safe introduction of the Class 800 trains.”
LNER “expects to operate a robust weekday timetable as [Hitachi] trains are safely returned to service” the operator told Business Traveller.
Through trains from London to Aberdeen and Inverness are now back in service.
