Marriott’s Le Méridien brand is set to make a debut in the Maldives with Le Méridien Maldives Resort and Spa.
Scheduled to open in August 2021, the resort is located in Lhaviyani Atoll nestled on Thilamaafushi Island. It is accessible via a 35-minute seaplane journey north of Velana Internationa Airport.
Le Méridien Maldives Resort and Spa will feature 154 villas in categories such as sunrise overwater villa, beach villa, lagoon villa, Thilamaafushi villa among others.
The resort’s design philosophy takes inspiration from the formation of the atolls, fringing reefs, and marine life.
F&B options will include six restaurants and bars offering international cuisines. Turquoise, an all-day dining restaurant will offer local delicacies as well as Asian and European tastes and Tabemasu will serve Japanese delights. Other outlets include Velaa Bar + Grill and Waves Cafe.
Guests will be able to enjoy rejuvenating treatments at Explore Spa.
