Air India cancels flights to and from US

Air India flights to and from the US have been curtailed, due to the travel restrictions imposed by the US government from today.

New travel guidelines announced by USA Regulatory Authority read, “Suspension and Limitation on Entry.  The entry into the United States, as nonimmigrants, of non-citizens who were physically present within the Republic of India during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States, is hereby suspended and limited subject to section 2 of this proclamation.”

Flights between Delhi-Newark-Delhi are cancelled as of now, from May 9 until May 30 (Friday and Sunday) and from May 10 until May 31 (Monday).

Other flights that have been cancelled include Delhi/SFO/Delhi (Thursday) from May 6 until June 3.  Delhi/SFO/Bengaluru(Tuesday) May 11 until June 1 and Bengaluru/SFO/Delhi (Thursday) May 13 until June 3.

The national carrier will issue update on waivers/options on cancelled flights soon on its website and social media channels.
