Hilton has added it first Tapestry Collection property on the Chinese mainland, with the opening of the Hollick Hotel Wen’an.
Situated in the Luneng Ecological Zone of the Wen’an County and a five-minute drive from a 40,000 sqm wine chateau and 213,000 sqm vineyard, the hotel is inspired by nature and wine, with features including the red wine-themed Hollick Lounge, offering a selection of wines from premium estate-grown fruit, including Hollick the Brad Merlot and Hollick Wilgha Shiraz.
Meanwhile all-day dining restaurant Merlot offers a menu including “a unique twist to traditional pizzas and burgers”, as well as a red wine-infused dessert.
Rooms and suites have lake or garden views, and are designed around neutral colour palettes with “eco-friendly materials such as natural woods and stone where possible”.
Other facilities include a fitness centre, 200 sqm of meeting space, and access to the Magpie Tree Club, a lounge “where guests can mingle with light bites and drinks over a game of billiards”.
The hotel is located next to the Xiongan New Area, around 90 km from Beijing Daxing International airport, and is owned by the China Green Development Investment Group.
Hilton launched the Tapestry Collection in 2017, and currently has a portfolio of over 45 “original hotels that offer guests unique style and vibrant personality, and encourage guests to explore the local destination”.
Last year the group added its first Tapestry hotels in the Asia-Pacific region, with the opening of two new hotels in Taipei and Christchurch.

To celebrate the hotel’s opening, Hilton Honors members can earn 1,000 bonus points per night for bookings made directly with the group, and for check-ins before July 22, 2021.
