British Airways has confirmed that its Elemis Lounges will not reopen after the current closure.

The Elemis Travel Spas were located in Heathrow T3 and T5, along with a spa facility at JFK Terminal 7.  Available for those flying in BA First and Club World, as well as Executive Club Gold members flying long-haul, the spas had been refreshed in 2019, with Kelly Hoppen MBE designing a new look, with soft furnishings including curtains, rugs, cushions and throws all handpicked by the interior designer.

As part of the refresh BA has launched a new treatment menu, including 15-minute deep scalp and muscle ease back massages.

In a statement the airline said

“We’re proud to work with Elemis, a brand our customers love, and we continue to provide their products on board our flights. Our Elemis lounge travel spas have remained closed throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and we have decided that they will not be reopening. Over the coming months we will be reviewing new propositions to support our customers’ health and wellbeing pre-flight.”

The airline had partnered with Elemis at its travel spas for 14 years.
