Melia Hotels International has launched its first hotel in the Netherlands, opening a property under its lifestyle Innside brand in Amsterdam.
Innside Amsterdam is located in Zuidas, the city’s financial district, and is part of the 2Amsterdam redevelopment project by architects KCAP. The project has seen the transformation of two 1980s office towers in the district, with Innside Amsterdam occupying the western tower, while the eastern tower will contain office spaces – a semi-public garden will unite the two buildings.
The hotel has 328 rooms with contemporary design and sustainable touches. As with all hotels in the Innside portfolio, single-use paper and plastic have been eliminated from the property, and replaced with sustainable amenities and 100 per cent eco-friendly bedlinen and towels.
Dining facilities include the 19th floor sky bar and restaurant, featuring modern Spanish cuisine amid panoramic views of the city, and the lobby bar and restaurant La Tierra, which offers all-day dining and takeaway options.
Further facilities include two multi-functioning meeting rooms, and a ‘Big Ideas Space’ to foster creativity. Guests can also make use of additional meeting rooms and conference facilities at the neighbouring co-working space Atrium Amsterdam.
Located just a few steps from the metro, guests can reach the city centre in 15 minutes and Schiphol airport in ten minutes. The hotel is also offering a 24-hour bicycle rental service for guests to explore the bike-friendly city.
Innside by Melia has hotels in 28 locations across ten countries, with an additional 14 properties in the pipeline including properties in Liverpool, Newcastle and Lisbon.
