Premier Inn will open two new Hub by Premier Inn hotels in the capital this spring, located in Soho and Shoreditch.
The new openings will increase the number of Hub by Premier Inn hotels to 11 locations across London, with over 2,000 bedrooms in the capital.
First to open is the Hub by Premier Inn London Soho on April 16, an 110-room property located on Berwick Street – famous for its creative industries, studios, and independent records shops. The hotel is part of a wider transformation of 90-104 Berwick Street, and will feature a double-storey entrance atrium and a guest lounge on the lower ground level. Guestrooms will look onto Berwick Street and Hopkins Street to the west.
The new development will also include 12 luxury private apartments, four family-sized apartments, a residents’ roof garden and a new retail area with shops, F&B businesses and a Co-op supermarket.
Meanwhile, a 246-room Hub by Premier Inn property will open on Quaker Street in Shoreditch in late June, marking the second Hub in the Shoreditch area and the fourteenth across the UK.
The Shoreditch hotel will occupy a former Victorian stable block, with the gabled facades of the original building retained during the conversion.
Premier Inn launched the Hub brand in 2013, with the first property opening in Covent Garden the following year. Features include “compact” rooms (about half the space of a standard Premier Inn room, although Bigger Rooms are also available), with technology including smart TVs, ensuite shower rooms, pull out desks and free wifi.
A further five Hub hotels are currently on site or in the advanced stages of planning in London, with locations in Camden, Farringdon, Marylebone and Paddington. A planning application has also been submitted for a 220-room Hub by Premier Inn at Snow Hill in the City of London.

Premier Inn will also open new hotels in Bournemouth, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford and Plymouth this year.
This news comes after the group announced an expansion of its Plus rooms concept, with plans to reach the 1,000-room milestone for the premium room category in the first half of this year.
