Hilton has debuted its Doubletree brand in the Italian capital, with a 133-room property located on Piazza dell’Esquilino.
Doubletree by Hilton Rome Monti is housed within an existing property which has been extensively refurbished by London-based architecture and interior design firm THDP.
The hotel features a rooftop bar and terrace, a bar and café with an entrance on Piazza dell’Esquilino, three meeting rooms, a fitness centre, and Mamalia restaurant, which according to Hilton serves “reinterpreted traditional cuisine”.
Design features include the use of “earthy wood and stone materials, combined with different plant forms”… “pairing contemporary comfort and vintage Italian charm”.
The hotel joins seven other Hilton properties in Rome – Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Aleph Rome Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn Rome Claridge, Hilton Rome Eur La Lama, Hampton by Hilton Rome East, Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport, and Hilton Rome Airport.
The Doubletree brand is also present in other Italian destinations including Venice, Trieste, Brescia and Milan.
Commenting on the opening David Kelly, senior vice president, continental Europe, Hilton, said:
“We are thrilled to partner with HNH Hospitality to open Doubletree by Hilton Rome Monti. The hotel has undergone an impressive refurbishment and is the perfect property to introduce Doubletree by Hilton to Rome – joining five other Hilton brands with a presence in the city.
“We know that there is considerable pent-up demand for travel, and Rome is consistently a top destination for international travellers. This hotel is well-positioned to capture that demand as international travel resumes.”
