Vistara’s newly launched Gate-to-Gate service aims to enhance passenger’s travel experience “by taking care of their luggage needs from start to the end of the journey.” The full-service carrier has partnered with CarterX, a Bengaluru-based luggage transfer company for this service.

Under this service, the luggage is collected from the customers’ doorstep. Every piece of luggage is sanitised and packed in double-layered, tamper-proof packing materials. Every movement of the luggage is tracked. Luggage pick-ups and deliveries are entirely contactless, and the staff facilitating the transfer wear PPEs, and the transport vehicles are duly sanitised.

The service, currently in its pilot phase, was launched on March 13, 2021, for passengers travelling between Delhi and Mumbai. Hyderabad and Bengaluru are in the pipeline for phase 2 of this service.

After booking the ticket, customers can avail of this service by visiting a dedicated microsite – vistaragatetogate.carterx.in/home, enter their PNR number, and book the service by filling in the required details.

Commenting on the new service, the airline spokesperson said, “Vistara’s Gate-to-Gate service is aimed at helping all customers by ensuring that they do not have to worry about their luggage and travel with an absolute peace of mind. It is yet another way of extending our ‘intuitive thoughtfulness’ to our customers.”
