The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is scheduled to open on June 1, 2021.

The property is located at Fari Islands, in North Malé Atoll of the Maldives, which is a 45-minute speedboat ride or a 10-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by The Island Caller. To signal the arrival, the caller will blow the traditional Maldivian Sangu shell (Triton’s Trumpet). The resort showcases the cyclical nature of island life through its architecture and in-room amenities.

The resort will offer one- to three-bedrooms villas. Each villa will include an artfully crafted Beru, or drum, which coincides with the evening Bodu Beru, an indigenous form of dance and music with drums.

This sunset ritual at the Eau Bar “allows guests to reflect on a day full of discoveries while transitioning into an evening of relaxation, indulgence, and reflection.”

Traditional afternoon tea is offered to unwind with friends and family. Guests can enjoy their afternoon tea by the pool at Eau Bar. The resort’s signature cocktail selection is inspired by the archipelago’s favourite five spices: cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin, and turmeric.

To reduce import footprints, the resort is practicing several measures such as serving sustainably caught fish from local fishermen, fresh vegetables, and herbs cultivated in their organic garden.

Guests can also participate in Maldivian cooking classes to learn the art of making Mashuni, a breakfast staple in the island nation, made with tuna and fresh coconut.

Additionally, guests will have an Aris Meeha or island butler.
