Starting from March 10, 2021, Air Asia India will operate from Terminal 1 of Mumbai airport instead of Terminal 2.

Mumbai is the airline’s fourth hub in India after Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Kolkata.

Currently, Air Asia India connects Mumbai with destinations such as Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Kochi, New Delhi, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Chennai, and Jaipur.

Air Asia India said:

“Thousands of guests travel to and from Mumbai every day and we have been closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and are following guidelines from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and respective local health agencies where we have operations.

“We understand there are many concerns during this time and wish to assure our guests that the safety and well-being of our guests and Allstars (As AirAsia India employees are fondly known) are of paramount importance to us.”

Other Indian carriers that will resume services from Terminal 1 of Mumbai airport include Indigo and Goair.

Indigo will be operating flight numbers with subset series 6E 5500 – 6E 5900 to and from Terminal 1 at the Mumbai International Airport from March 10, 2021. Likewise, all Goair domestic flights to and from Mumbai will depart and arrive from Terminal 1.
