Hyatt has opened two new hotels in downtown Tampa under its Hyatt House and Hyatt Place brands.
The 17-storey dual-branded development is located across the street from City Hall, and features the 115-room Hyatt House Tampa Downtown and 230-room Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown.
Facilities include a shared lobby area with Corazon restaurant and bar, a heated rooftop pool and terrace, fitness centre and 3,600 square feet of meeting and events space.
Interiors “pair jewel tones with citrus shades and feature bright, sun-kissed spaces that create an ambiance that is uniquely Tampa”, while the public space feature “custom patterned tilework, accent furniture, tropical leaf artwork, and glimpses of the region’s influence in the form of vintage Cuban movie posters and graphic maps of the destination”.
Later this year three retail outlets are set to open on the ground floor of the property – a Starbucks with outdoor seating, grab and go Junmai Station Sushi, and “self-pour beer and wine taproom” Wicked Pour.
The hotels are currently offering a Grand Opening Package for bookings made by May 24 and stays until the end of the year, including a complimentary upgrade, 20 per cent off food and beverage, and free parking.
Commenting on the opening general manager Patrick Sorge said:
“Style, convenience, and diversity are the foundations of the experiences found at Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown and Hyatt House Tampa Downtown. This is a highly curated and incredibly well designed dual-branded development, with all the familiar comforts of the Hyatt brands.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the alluring and diverse culture of downtown Tampa and look forward to welcoming leisure and business travelers who can call our property home during their visit to this incredible city.”
