Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage a new luxury resort with branded residences in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Scheduled to open in 2024, Mandarin Oriental, Da Nang will offer 69 villas and 18 residences, each set in their own landscaped gardens with private pools.

The resort will be located on a stunning 30km stretch of beach that links Da Nang in the north with Hoi An in the south. Guests can also enjoy their time in the neighbourhood exploring the UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Hoi An, My Son and the royal city of Hue.

The project will offer “varied resort experiences with dedicated leisure experts on hand to customise alternatives ranging from romantic breaks and wellness retreats, to local cultural exploration and family-focused activities.”

Other facilities will include five restaurants and bars, indoor and outdoor venues for social gatherings, a beachfront pavilion designed for wedding celebrations, a Mandarin Oriental Spa to name a few.

The project is owned by Dinh Ba Thanh, a Vietnamese businessman, entrepreneur, and the founding chairman of DatVietVAC and The Nam Khang Corporation. He said:

“We are pleased to partner with one of the most prestigious brands in luxury hospitality on this exciting project, which will offer visitors an outstanding facility where they can relax in comfort and enjoy the legendary service of Mandarin Oriental. The project aims to bring a newly defined ‘Vietnamese Luxury’ experience to the local and international market.”

James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental said:

“Da Nang is a leading leisure destination in Asia, and we are delighted to be working with our partners to create a world-class resort here together with residences.

“The project will complement our hotel in Saigon, which will open in 2022, providing our fans with an opportunity to visit two of Vietnam’s most fascinating destinations.”
