Accor has announced the opening of its second Grand Mercure property in Bengaluru. Located at Swamy Vivekananda Road, next to Gopalan Signature Mall, this is Accor’s sixth hotel in Bengaluru and seventh property in Karnataka.
Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall features 212 well-appointed rooms and suites. The hotel’s interior is inspired by Hoysala architecture.
The façade exudes a palatial vibe with notes of Nadaswaram (musical instrument) welcoming guests at the entry. The signature fragrance at the hotel is a blend of Mysore sandalwood and vetiver, an endemic fragrance from the grass family.
The multi-cuisine all-day dining restaurant – La Utsav serves local recipes that the state treasures.
Besides, the hotel has named its lobby bar after this era – 1026 AD, to pay homage to the beginning of the Hoysala Empire. The alfresco space serves as an ideal venue to unwind after work. Their menu comprises a selection of local favourites and speciality coffees including Vietnamese, Turkish, Chemex, and vacuum coffee.
The terrace gym and spa are located on the fifth floor. As a part of its wellness regime, the hotel has adopted yoga, the pre-Vedic mental, physical and spiritual practices that go back to the first millennium BC.
The Tattva Spa consists of six treatment rooms and offers a selection of modern and traditional therapies.
The executive lounge is designed as a library with a great selection of reads. The fifth central is an entertainment zone, featuring an array of games and recreational facilities.
Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall is well-equipped to host large and small gatherings. There are more than ten event spaces including an expansive terrace, a quaint alfresco and multiple indoor venues.
