Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has opened a second Dolce by Wyndham property in Denmark, located in central Copenhagen.

Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Dolce by Wyndham, marks the group’s second collaboration with Danish hotel chain Comwell Hotels following the opening of Comwell Aarhus, Dolce by Wyndham, in 2019.

The 444-room hotel is located in the Nordhavnen district and is close to tourist attractions such as The Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace, and the Tivoli Gardens. Architectural design draws inspiration from the city’s historical warehouses, while the interior design features sleek Danish décor.

Facilities include a restaurant, deli and bar, a rooftop fitness centre, 17 meeting rooms, a coworking space and two courtyards with lush greenery.

Dimitris Manikis, President, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA, said:

“We are thrilled to build on our fruitful partnership with Comwell Hotels and leverage their strong expertise to further expand our Dolce brand in Denmark. Praised for its culture, global connectivity and culture, Copenhagen is a renowned destination and we are delighted to add this impressive location to our accommodation and meeting options around the world.”

Peter Schelde, Group CEO of Comwell Hotels, added:

We are very proud to be part of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Our brand and award-winning concepts are a good match with Dolce by Wyndham. With our new hotel in Denmark’s capital, we can now offer a state-of-the-art hotel filled with Danish design, quality and art in the centre of Copenhagen.”

Both of the company’s properties in Denmark are currently offering Wyndham’s hybrid meeting concept to help boost corporate business demand to its hotels in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

US-based Wyndham currently operates 9,000 hotels across 90 countries.
