British Airways has launched its latest flash sale, this time covering short-haul flights to over 40 European destinations.

In total the carrier is offering over one million seats for under £40 each way (based on a return fare), for purchase by January 26 and for travel on selected dates until December 2021.

Highlighted routes include Madrid, Berlin, Nice, Pisa, Barcelona, Oslo, Turin, Krakow and Athens.

As a result of the fare reductions, the carrier has also discounted selected city and beahc break packages, with examples given including:

  • Seven nights at the four-star Hotel Valkarana – Relais di Campagna, from £259pp, travelling on selected dates between 1 June – 30 June 2021 inclusive. Includes economy (Euro Traveller) return flights from London Heathrow Airport, 23kg luggage allowance and accommodation with breakfast.
  • Seven nights at the Exagon Park, from £259pp, travelling on selected dates between 7 May – 31 May 2021 inclusive. Includes economy (Euro Traveller) return flights from London Heathrow Airport, 23kg luggage allowance and accommodation on Half Board board basis.
  • Three nights at the four-star Andersen Boutique Hotel, from £179pp, travelling on selected dates between 1 August – 31 August 2021 inclusive. Includes economy (Euro Traveller) return flights from London Heathrow Airport, 23kg luggage allowance and accommodation with breakfast.
  • Three nights at the four-star Best Western La Marina, from £159pp, travelling on selected dates between 1 May – 31 May 2021 inclusive. Includes economy (Euro Traveller) return flights from London Heathrow Airport, 23kg luggage allowance and accommodation.

All bookings are covered under the carrier’s current flexible policy, where customers who book to travel before 31 August 2021 are able to exchange their booking for a voucher, or move their dates without incurring a change fee.

BA recently unveiled chef Tom Kerridge as its new short-haul food and beverage partner, with customers able to purchase items in advance of their flight and have it delivered to their seat.

Commenting on the flash sale Andrew Brem, British Airways’ chief commercial officer, said:

“With the year we’ve all just had, we know people are desperate for something to look forward to. These latest deals offer people a wide array of cheap flights to amazing European destinations, and with travel dates stretching all the way to December, there is plenty of choice for customers looking to get away.”
