Jet2 has today announced that it will suspend operations until March 25 “due to the ongoing uncertainty and travel restrictions” caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The suspension extends to both flights and holidays up to and including March 25, 2021. The carrier has stated that it will automatically cancel affected bookings and provide customers set to travel during this period with a full refund.

Customers due to travel from March 26 onwards are advised to wait for a further update closer to the time.

This decision comes after the onset of a third lockdown in the UK – the airline similarly suspended flights departing English airports during the four-week lockdown in November 2020.

Meanwhile, the UK’s third largest scheduled airline (in terms of passenger numbers) opened sales for its summer 2022 flight programme last week.
